Hi, I'm Arundhati

I am a designer, communications consultant & design researcher with a focus on social impact.

I work at the intersection of design and governance and run the design for social impact division of Desmania called Designed for Good: a studio that strives towards community activation and outreach, through research, films, branding & campaigns that inform social change.

Designed for Good started out as a podcast in 2018. It explores the relationship between creativity and positive societal change. With three seasons worth of episodes, the podcast has touched on themes ranging from design for social advocacy and oral history to conservation & AI tracking — hosting eminent personalities such as writer and activist Fatima Bhutto, lawyer and author Suchitra Vijayan, oral historian Aanchal Malhotra, principle designer of Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’ election campaign– Scott Starrett.

My work and experience across 3 continents  - Asia, North America and Europe has given me a diverse and multi cultural perspective on design for social change.

In the past, I have worked with FCB Health New York, UN Women, UNESCO, PVR NEST, Abdul Kalam Foundation, WWF India, ICRW and the Delhi Government.

I am currently developing design tools to create inclusive public spaces for women through the

Space for Her campaign.
